What would be the point of using an SPL sub in a sealed enclosure?

i see the words "good frequency response" and "sealed enclosure", and then the words "no price limit" and "SPL sub"....and then i get confused. lol

if you want something that has good frq. response, and in a sealed enclosure, check out a W7, or an IDMAX, or something along those lines.

the RL-s is still a high output SQ sub.

correct me if i am wrong, but i though it was.
coming from SS, i would expect no less.
besides that, they have "TC Sounds Linear Motor Technology" all over the website for the Rl-s.:-)

well if you look at SPL, sound pressure level. that sub is going to have a lot of sound pressure in a sealed enclosure making it a sealed SPL sub :-)
