Brad From PA Unregistered guest | you would have to wire it in parallel b/c if you wired it in series you would have a .5 ohm load and the amp is only 1 ohm stable... or you could sell the subs you have and get dual 4 ohms and wires them in series to give you the 1 ohm load you need |

If you wired it in series, you'd get an 8 ohm load. You've got it backwards Brad. At this URL, look up "2 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Series / Parallel". It'll show you how to wire it. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161 Not sure what your amp gets at different loads, but you're looking at running your VCs in series/parallel to pull 2 ohms. If you don't understand, just look up the wiring diagram that I gave you. |
