Which alarm is better?

I live in an apartment and my car was broken into last week and my stereo stolen. I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX and want to get an alarm put on it this weekend. Car Toys has four brands they use: Clifford, Python, Audiovox and Code Alarm.

The guy at Car Toys is trying to sell me a Clifford with something called a Responder Alarm and is telling me to get a glass microphone as well. Now this is around $350.00........WAY out of my price range.

Please anyone give me some feedback as to which of these would be good. I don't need something that automatically starts my car for me. I just want something that will cause my car not to start if trying to be stolen and if the glass is broken or messed with, then the alarm goes off then too........as well as the usual alarm protection.

I'm reading about how sensitive the Clifford systems are and go off around everything. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much.
