i have found that a 250 watt amp bridged is 500 watts, im only useing 1 sub that is 500 watts. i was looking for a 500 watt amp to power 1 sub, if i were to do this i would have likely blown it up. but now that i have found that 250 watts bridged is 500 that is less to buy a 250 watt amp. this is correct right? it makes sence. correct me if im wrong. and i need to know an amp that is good money for the quality it is. any suggestions? i appreciate any halp.

both? i have 1 sub its 500 watts rms. i want to get an amp and i heard from some one that if you bridge or hook up 1 sub to a 2 way 250 watt amp, that will run the sub at 500 watts. since its a 2 way amp and it runs 250 watts to 2 subs when its hooked up, hooking 1 sub up to both outs will put 250+250 to the sub. i have a DVC sub.

Yep, and I would also recommend getting a Class D mono amp instead of an A/B 2-channel amp.
