TO have your amp read more RMS than your woofer says...my amp puts out 500-900 W RMS and my woofer handles up to 400 W RMS...Am I going to damage my sub if i use this combo?

okay ur amp doesnt put out 500-900w rms lol.,,, what does it really put out? (1 number) and if u have the gains set correctly, just be careful with the volume... and if the gains are set imporperly, then ur gonna blow ur subs for sure. what amps and subs are you using?

It's a good idea actually, gives you headroom. Just make sure you keep the gains set correctly and you'll be fine.

It's 500 - 900 watts depending on the load.

At 4 ohms it's 500 wrms.
At 2 ohms it's 900 wrms.

ahh I think since the amp only pushes about 500 watts really any sub can handle that just make sure you have the gain not to high

RMS Power: 500W x 1 @ 4 ohms
RMS Power: 900W x 1 @ 2 ohms
RMS Power: 900W x 1 at 1 ohms
RMS Power: 900W x 2 at 4 ohms (Dual Mono Drive)
thats the specs on the link u put up... that makes no sense at all lol... but if it puts out 500w rms at 4 ohm then u need to either have a 4 ohm SVC sub or a dual 2 ohm sub. you need to have it wired to 4 ohms.
