I was told that solobaric L7 would be pretty good, whats an average SPL that 2 12" would get running of 800x2 RMS? and do they have ok sound quailty? like as an example on Alexisonfire I love how the bass hits from the drums for sound with the 2 Type R's
thanks!

wow, interresting sub your comparing. in one corner you got the L7's which will get plenty loud enough but sound like sh!t and probally break within a month or two, then in the other corner you got type r's good sq subs with pretty good spl that will last you a year or two. so you decide which subs you want.

I have been overpowering my l7's by like 250rms everyday for like 3 months and no probs, if you want to be heard from far away then get the l7's

I would pick they R;s because even though they dont get as loud as the L7 but will sound better at lower volumes as well as higher ones too!PLus Rs get really loud too!

haha Ok, I just want some GOOD 12" subs that can handle these SPECS:

Cont. Power 4 Ohm 2 x 500 Watts
Cont. Power 2 Ohm 2 x 800 Watts
Cont. Power 1 ohm 2 x 1000 Watts

I want a sub that SOUNDS good but can get in the high 140's to 150's for SPL, I hit just shy of 140db and my type R's are being powered by an xplod amp.

thanks!
