what did the spl meter look like(the part they put in the truck)? was is a silver box, a black box, or white stick?
i doubt that 139.7dB cracked your windshield...maybe it made a crack in the windshield run. (i do 145db and have never cracked the windsheild in my 98 ext cab silverado, but i have run a cracks like 3ft.)
It's much harder than people think it is to blow out a window. Your not gonna hit in the 130's or 140's and damge anything in your car. Maybe rattle your rear view mirror off, but that's not very difficult.
Strange how people can have competition vehicles that hit in the 150's and low 160's, and don't have all their stock windows bust out?? It's pretty hard to break a window in a car, you need semething like a baseball bat or crow bar - the pressure created from your subs just isn't enough.
I was transporting the girlfriend's cat and when Hottie & the Blowfish came on, he put a hole right through the windshield! Of course it could have been me slamming on the breaks to check out the hottie heading down the street.
