Ok so I live in Israel and these are the options I have for a components set in my price range, it's not so short but these are the only options I have and I have no clue and don't have a possibility to listen to them.
Looking for SQ, and prefer a soft pleasing tweeter.
JL Audio TR or VR
Rainbow Dream line SLX or CS
MB Quart discuss
Eaton Pro
Infinity Reference
Boston S
Cerwin Vega HED
Any input based on any experience or common knowledge on these models will be great.
Cheers
Gal

Why not Morel? They're based in Israel and have fantastic component sets geared to what you're looking for. Just a consideration.

Yep forgot: More Dotech MKII
My amp is only 67X2 though these are rated for 140w.
Prefer to get something else from my list
Any thoughts?

Out of the above, I'd go JL VR or Rainbow CS

Thanks Jonathan, and if you take the Morel Dotech into consideration: Morel or still Rainbow?

I'd take those Morels over those specific Rainbows. Go into Rainbows upper end line and I'd say differently, but Rainbow Platinums and References cost thousands.

You know the specific model Dotech MKII?

Depends on if it's to your liking or not. Morels are more power hungry, you'll need more amp if you want to get the potential out of them. They're a little darker from what I've heard between the two, but keep in mind that I haven't had them side by side, only heard both on different (also rather brief) occasions. The Morels also use shallow slope crossovers and will need a lot of attention to positioning to get the imaging right. By the CS you were referring to Rainbows older Contour line, right?

In your case, the Rainbows would be a better choice. With enough power and ideal conditions, I'd probably take the Morels, but remember that my statement above wasn't implying that the Dotechs blow them away or anything. Don't rely on my taste, though, we all prefer different things. It seems like from your above statement that you've heard the Dotech and didn't like them or something, not sure though.

Yes you understand correctly, I don't love the Morels.
The Ranibows CS after all are not in my budget I can get the : SLX 265 DELUX
http://car.rainbow-audio.de/products/introduction.php?lan=2&pro=1&lin=9
And the MBQuarts I can get are the : DSE 216
http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/products/prod_detail.asp?isArchive=&cat=auto&s eries=discus%20series&strt=1&model=DSE+216
These are my 2 final options.
Which of the 2 would be expected for the better overall sq and the softer more delicate tweeter?
Thank you for the help

sorry to be a pain...:-)
---in adition to the above---
I have read that JL Audio are known for sq
So this is my third option besides the 2 above
JL VR650-CS:
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_components.php?comp_id=127
They are a little more expensive but if they are the definite winner out of the 3 then I will stretch
Again really thank you for the help
