hey guys i am planning to buy subwoofers for my expedition. i wanted to buy 12" but the box for 12" subs wont fit in the trunk :-( i have to fold the 3rd seat to make the trunk bigger and to get these subs in but since i will be needing the 3rd seat thats why i was thinking of going with 10" subs instead.I tried Qlogic 10" box which fitted just fine with the 3rd seat in.
What i want to know is will 10" pump good (really good)? i need really loud bass with good quality. should i put 3 10" so it will sound like 2 12" ??

also what subwoofers you guys suggest. i can spend around 5 bills on this.

any suggestion is greatly apprecaited

thankyou

RE - entry level thumper with great SQ(by no means not loud)
SE - mid level, see above(haha, even louder and better)
SX - loud as balls. louder than the XXX
XXX - high output SQ sub.
MT - balls to the wall comp sub, that if correctly catered to will sound good at high volumes.:-) ask Isaac.

the SX line all use the same magnet and voice coils. the only difference in the 12" and the 10" is the basket and cone. they both have the same RMS (1000w).

the 12" can displace more air (it has a larger SD, in other words its like a car w/ a bigger piston bore.) The 12" will be a little louder, prolly like 2dB.

which one will be better in sound and bass
2 alpine 10" type-r = total rms 1000 or
1 re sx 10" = total rms 1000

they both have same rms but which one you guys suggest.
thankx
