Can speakers run at 2 ohms?

can you run speakers at 2 ohms? also if i buy a 2 channel amplifier and i wired all 2 speakers to each channel will this work?

speakers have a DC resistance to them that is fixed

They also have an impedance which changes with freq.

You dont "run" speakers at a certain impedance (ie 2 ohms)

You need to worry about if an amplifier is 2 ohm stable. If you have a 2ohm stable stereo amplifier than you can run two 2 ohm speakers, 1 per channel.

i think he is referring to front speakers/components... distortion increases with lower impedence.
i would not run anything other than bass at 2ohms.
