im going to be getting 2 12'' kicker comp cvrs, and im wondering what type of box i should use. and another question...im selling my alpine type r and mrd-m605, will these kickers sound a lot better, im going to be powering them with a kicker kx600.1 amp
Well kickers have a totally different sound that Alipne. Depends on what you are looking for in bass some may prefer the kicker while some prefer the R.
Are you looking for competing or regular bass? If you want HUGE bass make your own SPL box there are sites you can go to that tell you what specs to build the box. If you want just reuglar bass just go out and buy one that works! I have 2 Type R's myself and I hit 139.6 Db in a bassworx box I bought at Future shop. it all depends!
