Silver Member Username: XkawnPost Number: 117 Registered: Jul-05 | i installed a completely new system except for the power wire. the previous power wires were a size too small. now i'm re-wiring the power wire and want to know if there is a rule to how long the main power wire should be, or how short the actuall amp wires will be. for instance, 1/0 awg from batt to dist block then two four awgs. how long (or short) should i keep he four awgs. you see i have 15 feet of 1/0 and would like to save some for my new ho alt, but i have a feeling 15ft is just not enough. thanks. oh, and in the big three what can i compensate with the 4 awg if need be. thanks...... |
