Hey I need some help on how to go about my charging system. I am running 3200 watts rms to my 18 mt. How big of an alt do I need? Do I need muliple batteries and how do I charge them? This IS a daily driver. All input is appriciated.

if you go by the general rule of thumb that for every 100watts your amp produces, it pulls 10 amps of current, you will need at least a 320 amp alt.

again. this is generalized, class d amps use less current draw b/c they are more efficient at making power.

I'd say AT LEAST 200 amp. 250 would be the shweet spot. If it's a TRUE 3200 watts, and you crank it often, go with 250+ amps. But like Muddy said, 320 amp would be best. Plus accessories.

(3200/14.4=222.2~)
