I have 2 12" coustic bass pumps and i was was told that they can take more power than the manufactures say, does anybody know about this

i was looking to get an amp for them and i was thinking to get a kenwood to push them with but i dont know if anyone can help i would appreciate it

What voice coil configuration & what amp budget ?

Since those subs don't require much power u can get a better brand reasonably .

They are the BP1244 so i think that is dual and i would like to keep the amp around 200-250.

Ok ,since they are dual 4ohms ,wired together = 1ohm load so you're looking for an amp that puts out around or maybe a bit higher than 400wrms @ 1 .

Phoenix Gold amps are very versatile since its circuitry adjust to whatever ohm load its attached to

i have a friend that has a memphis 500d that he wants to sell me, would this power my 2 subs good w/o blowing them?
