I'm building a box for a pioneer 10in ts-w256dvc and I need help on size of box and tuning frequency.
Here is the manual
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/images/portal/cit_11221/199784721TRD124 7-A_US.pdf
they recommend 1.1cu.ft(this includes sub) and an 8in. port. should i use this volume and rec. tuning freq of 43Hz

well what i'm saying is does anybody have ideas of a good tuning freq for a 10in sub like 35hz, 40, 45, or 50hz. or should I just experiment.

See it all depends on personal preference , some ppl like really low freq bass while some like it a bit higher .

Like recently i built a box to hold 2 10s for my bro & tuned it low @ 40 Hz ,bass came out deep as expected but he didn't like it as much so i tuned the box to 50 hz & that made him happy . I too found it better @ 50hz - so it all depends on your preferences .

BTW - this box's port was made of pvc pipe so it was as simple as trimming the pipe .

thank you very much, nobody says what they tune their boxes to so I'm glad you did.
