how much are you wanting to spend?

you can run two of those subs at 1ohm or 4ohms. You'll need about 1200w RMS

why not just get a XXX
orion, kicker, mtx, mb quart all good amps
get a mono class d
if you cant afford those go with hifonics but u have to get a higher watt amp because there overrated

I would suggest looking on ebay and getting a memphis 1000d or a MB Quart RAA1000. But getting a single XXX would potentially be louder and sound better. You'll need more power though. Around 1600w RMS

but the only problem with the XXX is it's not available right now. Look at the SX if great SQ is not an issue.

im 17, and have a budget. it sounds easy just keep getting bigger subs, its the amp that kills my budget. i drive a 3000GT, a pretty small hatchback, so i dont really need a huge sub to rock the sh*t out of it. and i just want something to enjoy, not something sh*tty, not something massive that will decimate all. so i was probably doing 2 W3's, or 2 SE's, depending on which setup would be cheaper. 2 W3's with the custom jl box from my audio one is 499.00 now and i can get a 500/1 to run them for about 399. so if i could get an amp to run the SEs for less than 399, id probably take them since i heard they were a little bit better quality and a little louder than the W3's for the same money

if you're on a budget, look at Hifonics, they aren't great, but will do fine. Look at Viper and DEI. You should be able to get a good amp for under 300. Also, the Orion XTR pro 1000d (275 shipped on ebay)

i dont have a specific budget, just trying to find a decent system for my first system. im not trying to get something that will decimate everything i see on the road, but for my senior year it would be nice for best system at the high school :-p. but yea if you could link me to some amps that would run around 300 with our without shipping id love you forever beause i dont know anything about any specific models that you just listed above

I would recommend just 1 SE since you are on a budget... I'm sure you would be very satified with just 1.. they get loud and sound great! Did you have a system before this? If so what did you have?

Maybe 1 SE would be enough as Matt f mentioned. I am on a budget too and just bought myself a 10" SE ($108) and an Xtant 6.1 to power it ($200) off ebay which is just over $300(without shipping) in total and its going in my 180sx (Nissan 240sx to you Yanks) which is about the same size as your 3000gt. From what I've heard 1 SE is plenty if your after a clean sound anyway. That's just my take on the situation I'll let you know how it actually sounds when it arrives (getting stuff shipped to Australia = not cool, takes bout 6 weeks and still costs a bundle).

In the mean time here is a nice video to wet your appetite (10" SE in sealed enclosure running at 600wrms):-) http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/REAudio/se10.5.wmv
