Hi guys ill start off by saying im new to dvc subs. My friend picked up 2 audiobahn 1200N. I am totally clueless as to how to wire this system for best performance due to him putting this system on a 4 channel amp. Here is the specs for the subs.
dual 4 ohm voice coil
2 or 8 ohm operation
700 watt rms
120oz magnet

Here are the specs for the amp
250 Watt - 4 Ohm - 4 channel(s)
350 Watt - 2 Ohm - 4 channel(s)
700 Watt - 4 Ohm - 2 channel(s)
those are all rms
thank you for your input hopefully this system should get a little life soon

Either run each sub off of a channel and get 350 wrms to each at 2 ohms, or buy a new amp. He needs a different amp honestly. You could try running each sub off one channel, 350 should make them move some.... your still not using two channels though. He could always use those for components or something else.

well what i was thinking of doing was this, run each voice coil to its own channel ex. SUB1 coil1 front left on the amp SUB1 coil2 front right. SUB2 coil1 to rear right on amp SUB2 coil2 rear left... if i wired it like that would that give me the 350X4@ 2ohms im looking for?
