I'm currently running Mclass 5x7 and Diamond D651i across the 4 corners, but I just received a solid bonus from work and would like to start an upgrade. My truck is leased and they frown on cutting the truck, so components are out. I can spend $1500 for the speaker upgrade(either the fronts or all 4 corners) so I can afford something decent. A friend suggested Morels, but I'm open. I'm in Canada, so I might have to resort to ebay or other internet order sites.
Morel, DLS, Rainbow, DynAudio, SEAS, Scanspeak, Focal.. any of them are excellent choices. get front 6.5" separates. fiberglass kick pods to front mount them for the best imaging (no cutting, and you can pay someone to do the glass work) get an amplifier to drive the speakers. forget rears unless you really feel a need to have them. concentrate on front stage and subs.
