JL w7 12 to crossfire vr1000d amp

Is it possible to wire a jl audio w7 to my crossfire amp at 1 ohms ?

No, the 12w7 is a SVC 3-ohm sub. Meaning: You can ONLY get 3-ohms when wiring it.

so its only possible to run it at 3,i herd of some people wiring it at 4 ohms?

i also notice when i turn it up loud,it sound like its hitting against the wooden box,sorta like its loose inside the enclosure,it is the jl audio H.o. box with the red back ground, anyone know how i can get into it? i dont see any screws

it is imposible to get any thing other than a 3ohm load to your amp w/ a single JL 12w7. If you have it hooked to that vr1000d right now, you are prolly getting abot 300-400watts to it.

That sound your hearing it could be the amp clipping. When people underpower a sub like that, they tend to turn the gain up way to high becuase they think it will give them more power. Make sure you set your gains correctly.

If you want to remove the sub, go to JLaudio.com and look at their tutorial on how to mount/remove w7's.
