RCA's bad?

My front speakers make a crackling noise when I have the RCA's hooked up and wired to my amp. It only happens when the rca's are plugged in. The speakers are brand new and I don't believe they would be the cause. My RCA's are torn, the plastic that coats the wires is torn. Would this be the cause?

could be. also check the impedance of the speakers, make sure it isn't too low for the amp.

60 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms
75 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms
60 watts RMS x 2 + 150 watts RMS x 1 in 3-channel mode
4- or 3-channel output (no 2-channel operation)
CEA-2006 compliant

The fronts and rears in my car are 4 ohms.

Yes, prob. the torn rca's.
1)Do they make ground contact somewhere?
2) Problems on all channels?
Try to run the channels (front and back) seperately and exchange the cables with eachother?
3) Get new rca('s)
