So Ive been using this set up for a couple of months (a nine.1 and a 12" Re x.x.x). This is my first system. I had a local experienced shop build me the box. The space is very limited as you will see. I first wanted to do a ported box but the guy figured their wasnt quite enough space and it would sound shitty. The "Q" of the box was too high or something?? So we went sealed and it came out to be around between 2 & 2.25 cubic ft. Now it sounds good but I think it would be better ported. I believe there is enough room to extend the box sideways which would give it enough room to be ported. When the tail gate is closed theres room for a hand between the sub and tailgate. Its close. Down firing wont work the subs to big. I guess in the box now it has a quarter of an inch space in the back. What do u think. Is there enough room to port this baby? How much room should there be. RE says 2.5 cubic ft but that cant be right when pluged into any box program. Is anyone running a semi small ported x.x.x like 2.5 or so? Im assuming it would have to be ported on top because the front would be 2 close to the tail gate. HELP!

that box looks to be alot bigger than 2 cubic feet lol. Since you actually underpowering the sub anyways it should need a larger box as well. You should go as BIG AS possible, if you will measure every inch of usable space back/forth/side to side, measure where a flat piece of wood could fit, and leact abotu 2 inches from the gait because you DO NOT want to hit that with the xmax of the sub being mroe than my hand lol
