What is the difference besides the price. Will I notice a major difference between the 2? I want it just for the trunk lid of my car (2002 Mitsubishi Lancer ES). So probably going to get 10-20 sq. ft. Will that also make a difference in sound?

V1 SE is thicker than V1. 70 mills versus 45 mills. It's a tiny bit thicker than dynamat extreme. eDead smells like tar, and the smell lingers for weeks. I don't know about dynamat. And eDead is way cheaper than dynamat.

the first one i saw on ebay was $93 shipped for 20sqft of dynamat

the first one i saw on ebay was $130 shipped for 120sqft of edead.

so he is WAY right about the price, but Dynamat is Dynamat(the king lol)
and doesn't stink like edead, or at least it doesn't IMO:-)

dynamats trunk has a much stronger smell then edead does I had put the trunk kit in my civic before it met with a tragic end...
The smell lingered around for months and my being in texas kept it around for months.
Id choose edead its much cheaper for the same effect and itll save you alot of money.

Id also like to add I had my dynamat professionally applied and it started peeling

or you might have bought Dynamat Original, which requires a heat gun to install. Dynamat Extreme does not require a heat gun, just a roller tool.

That would be the only other reason i could think as to why it would peel off.

i got the actual trunk kit
it only gives about 5 sq ft i think of the extreme
it did help though but its not worth the price when edead works just the same and you can get the thicker one and still pay less
edead v1 se is basically the same as the extreme just thicker it only requires a roller

i never bought the regular edead v1 i didnt see a point it when v1se is only 50 cents more per square foot

Im not saying dynanmat is bad im just saying its not worth the extra money when you could get something that could possibly be better

It all stinks and it all works. So go for price. eDead V1 SE is 1.50/sq foot, plus shipping. You can get 36 square feet of dynamat extreme for $100 over at Fry's. I vote for RattleTrap. 100 mills, 70 sq. feet for $170.

Just kidding, I still like eDead.
