I was either going to put an amp on my front speakers this winter or sound deadend my entire car with eDead. I really would like the addedpower going to my fronts but the road noise in my 2001 Dodge Intrepid just annoy's me to no end. Will I notice a large decrease in road noise if I sound proof all the doors and the floor? I don't plan on sound deadening the roof.
you should notice a BIG difference. most people can't grasp the concept that a vehicle is one of the WORST environments for music. especially good quality sounding music. so the more noise you can keep out, and the more music you can keep in, (lost due to vibrations), the better off you will be and the better sound environment your car will have. i know some people that think a vibrating trunk is cool. no, it is not cool, it is an example of sound lost due to vibrations from the bass that your cars body panels or what-not can't absorb. i tell them, "just think of it like this, if you dynamat your car, you won't have nearly as much rattle, and that RATTLE is lost sound. which means if you lose the rattle, you get MORE BASS!" and then they say "well what if i want to people to hear me coming", and that is when i just walk away. lol
thanks guys. i plan on doing it sometime around christmas. gotta save up a few more bucks. How much do you think I'll need for my entire floor, all four doors, and the entire trunk? I drive a 2001 Dodge Intrepid?
