Right now I have 2 12" Kicker CompVR running off a KX600.1 in a 2000 Maxima Its very loud, but I see alot of hype about these RE XXXs...I'm wondering if this will be a substantial upgrade and if its worth the money.
Seriously man, search around on the net and the forum. The CVR is not even in the same league as the XXX's. The CVR is a budget sub while the XXX is in the upper echelon of SQL subs, maybe tops. You will have trouble finding them however, because they are not going to be produced for months now that they are updating the line.
Only about 2 months... but he's right, you can't even compare the two. The x.x.x is so much better, but that would mean you would have to upgrade amp/amps, and even you're alternator maybe.
well, a XXX 12" needs about 1200 watts RMS to perform well, so you'd need 2400+ watts RMS for a pair of them, but the SQ and output would both be substantially superior to those $100 CVR subs.
