RE Audio's enclosures

ON their site it tells you specs to boxes that are fitted to each sub. It says for a single 12" sub looking for SQ the box should be 2.5 cu. ft. at 30hz but the specs of the box they give you are 36" X 23.5" X 13.5"... but to my calculations that comes out to be more than 5 cu. ft. of internal space. What im asking is how come it says the box is 2.5 ft @ 30hz but its actually twice that???

make sure you're getting the sq dimensions for the right sub and size and if its really in conflict with what they say elsewhere, give them a call, they're pretty good to talk to generally.

And another thing, why is it that everyone is so ashamed to ask questions they they post as "anonymous"? That seems like a legitimate question, we won't hold it against you.

Because those are the specs for a ported enclosure. After subtracting all of the MDF and port and everything it should equal out to be 2.5. If it were sealed it would prob be closer to 5.
