Bronze Member Username: JronPost Number: 81 Registered: Jul-05 | i am about to install an rf amp to power my component speakers. 50x2@4 ohms is what this amp is rated at. I currently have a 4 gauge power line going to an alpine mrd-m605. The question is, is do I really need to upgrade the power wire to 2 gauge, and be feeding this amp a 4 gauge wire (the amp is tiny). 8 gauge is recommended, or should i just get the db and attach the 8 gauge to the amp? And would it be ok to run the amp speaker wires through the hu since the current draw is only 50rms? |
