Whats some good alternatives to a 2500d amp to power 1 Orion H2 12.2 subwoofer at 2 ohms? Basically what are some good amps that put out 1200-2000 RMS at 2 Ohms that are less than $500 (ebay pricing) I was looking at the 2500d on ebay and its like $520 and i can't afford that. I'm looking in the 300-400 range

Look for JBL 1200.1 amp. It should be under $400.
MTX should have some under $500. Audiobahn's HCT series should be under $400.
Use Hifonics only if your subs are cheaply made.

"Use Hifonics only if your subs are cheaply made."

What do you mean by that statement, that hifonics amps are good or are bad?

Hifonics fall somewhere between bad and low quality. They may get loud, but it's not something you would want for powering JL/RE/IDMax etc. Sony subs and Kicker's square subs will be okay with them. If they blew, no one would sweat.

What do you think of the Power Acoustik Mono Class D Amps? Those are like $250 at the most on EBay

"1114 watts RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms 14.4V supply"

Does this mean its 1114 watts RMS with a 14.4V supply? So if i was running the amp at like 12.5-13.5V i would have less RMS wattage?

PA amps are garbage. They're as bad as Pyle/Lanzar/Sony/Pyramid.

Yes, at lower voltage, you will get less power. Most stock alternators will supply 13.5v - 13.8v. From there it drops to 12.5v (battery) depending on the current draw.

do high output alternators put out more voltage as well as more amps?

Not more voltage, but a lot more current at a given rpm.
Almost all HO alternators put out 14.4v, if not all. Mine is 14.6v. My stock only gave 13.2-13.8v.
