I am planning to install my 2 Mackie SRM-450 PA speakers into my Dodge Durango. I am a guitar player, I can take them out for doing gigs. I have yet to find anyone who has done something like this. Mackie guys want to see pictures of this. These powered amp/speakers are 500W RMS and 128 dB at 1 meter each, are designed for small concert venues, sound great. Hi-tech design - delayed horn output; curved inside to minimize resonance. But they are low on bass. So I'm installing 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect DVQs (another 1,000 watts), powered by Hifonice 1600 watt class-D amp. This is effectively 2 separate stereo systems. my iPod signal gets split, one line to the in-dash Pioneer, the other to the Mackies. The big unknown: the power inverter. How clean must the AC input be? that is, would a modified sine wave voltage not harm the Mackie electronics? I've been told if the waveform is basic pulse wave, I'll hear a hum. I have a Vector 2000W inverter on order (modified sine, low harmonics).

[PS: best woofer enclosure? cost? whare at?]
