Single or dual subs

if i get 2 12"s that have 300 rms each will it thump harder than 1 12" thats 600 rms
i run a 2 channel amp and i know the sq will be better if i just bridge just 1 sub cause the channel seperations and all that .. just need to know which will hit harder
im thinkin the dual cause it covers more surface area but a single will push the air alot harder so its more focused ... its hard for me to debate

They will both hit about the same cause adding a sub is a 3db gain and doubling the power is 3db gain so it all depends on what you want.

i would personally go with the one sub, cleaner bass, and people will think you have 2, until you show them, that is :-)

its not all about surface area it all depends on the subwoofer..since the 600rms sub will be more expensive than the 300rms that usually means that it is a better built and more efficient sub and if you can get one really good sub as opposed to 2 decent subs..also it looks cooler when you only have one sub but your hitting harder than people with 2-3 subs
