first off, part of my system stolen and my problem is what to do about the wiring. it looks as if the power and ground wires for the amps are ok, but they are running through a capasitor. can i hook those up with the cap or is there some sort of process, ie, cap charging or sum'n. the speakers (highs and mids) are still hooked up, but they need to be longer. can you buy a quality adapter to add more wire to that won't have you lose anything in the process. also i will need new jacks and turn on remote wire.now i don't have the slightest idea what a remote wire end looks like. can sum 1 help with that. also are there any cables between amps or anything. or anything else i need. i guess maybe some 12guage to go from woofer amp to sub box and sub box to woofers.

so on one side power and ground cables
on the other side speaker wires 3 rca jacks and remote turn on

i'll have a soundstream xta480.4 for the highs and mids and a rf power 851s for the woofers.

i know i've been buggin' alot, but i guess i'm just a little slow, lol.....thanks.

i will be changing decks from an old sony explode to a pioneer DEH-P8MP. the sony is there and should still work. 4 4" speakers and 2 6.5 speakers are still in there. the power and ground wires are still running on the passenger side through the cap. fuse is blown so i couldn't test but assuming they work and all.

what was stolen. a rf punch 200.4 (which were pushing the highs and mids).
a rf punch 800.2 (which were pushing the woofers).
2 infinity perfect kappa 12.1 woofers.

what i'm adding. a soundstream xta480.4 (for highs and mids).
a rf power 851s for woofers
and 2 infinity perfect 12.d woofers.

you'll need to wire the subs in series/parallel like so<img>
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard/2_4ohmDVC_4ohm.gif (if pic didnt work)
so you get a 4 ohm load to yer amp. then bridge the channels of yer amp (yer manny(manual) that comes with the amp will tell you how to bridge it). each sub will get about 400W RMS or so.

i don't know the specs of yer mid and high speakers, so i can't tell you how to wire em, but look at yer soundstream's manny and match RMS power with yer speakers.

also, if you plan on turning the volume up all the way on yer new HU, make sure those amps can handle the preout wattage.

thanks infinity addict, i guess what i need to know right now is exactly what wiring i need from deck to amps, from amp to amp and amps to speakers and so on. basically i need to know what wires except for power and ground. i already have the power and ground and what ever other wires i have are damadged. so basically, if you had the deck, both amps, the highs and mids and woofers and you were gonna instal it put a package together of the wiring for me so i can order it. man, i'd really appreciate it. i'm gonna go with that knukoncepts. they're best line of wiring. thanks bro..........

well here's what you need to know. your RF amp is gunna need 4ga wire, and yer SS amp will need a minimum of 8ga wire. i suggest looking for a "T-block" to split your main 4ga from the batt into two 4ga lines, and run those into your amps. you also want to get a 125amp ANL fuse to protect that 4ga wire! you won't need anything more than 12ga speaker wire for yer subs, and nothing bigger than 16ga speaker wire for your speakers. i can't find anyplace online that sells knukoncept wire kits, maybe i didn't look hard enough? i have the 1400W tsunami kit from circuitcity, it's done me fine. of course, im only powering one amp (800w rms for MY kappa perfects!)... but yer system won't go higher than about 1300 watts... just about all kits come with remote start wire that runs from yer HU to yer amps.

happy hunting

ok, found knukonceptz, i spelled it with an "s" instead of a "z" on the end is why i couldnt find it. anyways, use this to split yer 4ga:
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=BC-1024

and grab this kit:
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL-AK44

and you'll need one more pair of RCAs, (the two pair that come with yer kit will go to your SS amp, one more pair will be needed to go to your RF amp):
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KAR2-6M

don't use the 80A fuse thing that comes with the kit, get this to fuse yer power wire:
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=FH-20
and get the 120amp ANL fuse that comes free with it.

think that should be it. again, check to make sure your amps can handle that preout voltage, i dont think the SS can...

i just ran out to look at my power and neg wires and from the battery i have a fuse holder with a blown 32 volt 60 gauge fuse. 4 guage runs to the back of my wranglerr to the cap. from cab to the Distribution Block. devides the 4 gauge into two 8 gauge wires. so in the end theres two 8 gauge wires and two wires half as thick which i got to assume are the grounds. here are a few more questions please.

1) do i need to change that one 8guage to a 4 guage???
2) move up to an 80 guage fuse as opposed to a 60???
3) you said "make sure those amps can handle the preout wattage". do you mean the 6.5 voltz from the deck i'll be putting???
4) when the deck says 3rca pre-outs, does that mean 3 pairs. a pair for highs, a pair for mids and a pair for lows???. that i know is probably the dumbest of all my questions, lol....

thanks alot, bro. this is much appreciated....

1) yah, use the new dist.block inplace of yer old one and split the 4ga into two 4ga lines.
2) the fuse on yer 4ga (closest to yer car battery) should be a 120amp ANL fuse.
3) yes, yer deck will put out 6.5 volts at maximum volume. make sure the max input signal rating for your amp matches or is higher than 6.5V, or just dont turn the volume on the deck all the way up!
4) exactly.

use 4ga wire for your grounds too, and keep it short as possible.
