I am looking to replace my current headunit
(Sony CDX-F5700) because of constant popping noises from my subs and the headunit is 3 years old and is just turning to crap.

I am looking for a headunit no more than $200.

I want this headunit to have LOW repair problems and good reviews by people that have used it. and preouts to hook up 2 subs and an amp.

The headunit must be a Sony, because im not buying a new harness for a different brand HU.

So please find me a good and reliable Sony HU. :-)

Thank you.

Tell us if you find a Sony with that type of reliability for under $200. Otherwise I don't see why you aren't willing to spend no more than twenty bucks on a new aftermarket wiring harness.

Ah, even though I wouldn't suggest these(they are much worse in quality), Aiwa, some JVCs and some Blaupunkts use the same/style/configuration of wiring harness.

Look for Pioneer Premier, Clarion ProAudio, Alpine, Nakamichi and Eclipse if you want reliability.

OK, Ive been readin some stuff and SONY does suck. So what are some good models from Pioneer Premier, Clarion ProAudio, Alpine, Nakamichi and Eclipse that would be no more than $200?? The HU must have preouts to hook up 2 subs and an amp.

Thanks.

I have had good luck with alpine. my son had a crappy unit is his 98 escort. I put in a good alpine but I had to buy the conversion kit. the way he treats stuff, I'm surprised it still works.

Pioneer DEH P7700MP would be a good buy for $200.
