Question about Xstatic BatCaps

I have a CRX and I know the amperage is very low on the alternator; I want to run 1000watts RMS to an MTX 9500 15 in a SS. Could I get a large Batcap instead of a HO alternator, or would a batcap help. I also already own a 5 farad Alumapro cap.

a cap will not help your car, b/c your alternator cant give it the power it needs to discharge for the bass hits

a batcap would help but thats still a lot of power.... my stock alternator is quite large at 130A and im going to get a batcap800 to run a 1000/1 ... id still prolly be better off getting a larger alternator but yeah it can be done... ive heard great things about those batcaps

You got the cap allready so you can try it out, but with a cap you would just be putting even more strain on your alt. They are not a magic bandaid for a lacking wiring system. The only time i would ever recommend a cap is if you only have slight dimming(almost unnoticeble) during HEAVY bass hits.

who asid it wasn't a battery?
it's a battery with a high ESR capacitor bank connected to it. I'm aware of what they are and mention them in the articles.

btw, if you choose to use a batcap, it needs to be mounted right near the amplifier(s) or you lose any advantage the capacitance may offer. Replacing the starter battery with a batcap in the stock location is pointless.

besides, the big batcaps must be charged with a/c 110. talk about a pain.
