Depending on what you are looking for, I would also check out TC Sound's custom CF sub. It uses an Eclipse Ti Pro frame, but just about everything else is different. It has a custom carbon fiber cone, and a revolutionary motor/VC design. The new design allows extreme Xmax specs without the usual distortion that has always been a limiting factor. The sub is rated at 6kw RMS but can easily take 8k. It uses quad 1ohm coils and has a sensitivity rating of 108db 1w/1m. Best of all, 4" XMAX!! They were origonally like $2,000, but you can sometimes find them for like $500 used. There were only 28 of these ever made! |
