I was wondering based on this diagram at the bottom, how do you tell which positive and negative terminals correspond to a specific voice coil in the sub? Does it matter how you interconnect coils in 1 sub ?
How can you tell which positives and negatives go to which voice coil (i'm talking about 1 sub with 2 voice coils)? Like in that picture, would the top + and - be one coil, and the bottom + and - be the other coil?
colc: Yes the top + and - voice coil is one coil. Brooks: Take the negative wire from the 2nd sub and hook it up to the negative post of the first sub. Then take another wire and hook that up to the neg. post of the first sub to the amplifier. Damn don't know if you understand that cause I'm cofusin myself. lol
I was also wondering about how you said to connect the subs together. Do you connect them by 1 wire to each terminal, or would you use a different wire for each one and then splice them together?
The terminals with solid red and black markings are for one voice coil. The terminals with the white dots are for the second voice coil. Straight from kicker. lol
