Okay i have to cvr's dual 4ohm, i can get a hifonics zx1000 for $130 shipped supposively 500 rms x 2 @ 2ohm, im figuring that # will be right around 400 watts rms in a 12.5 volt operation, but i dont really know about this, or should i go class D hifonics amp, that has 1000 watts rms x 1 @ 1ohm ? but that 1 is like $240
Class D amps really are ideal for subwoofer applications, because they are much more efficient than class AB amps. Either way, I believe that Hifonics rates their amps @14.4v,(and are a bit overrated) so either way you won't be getting as much power as you would like.
