hey i have 2 questions is 14 awg good speaker wire and what type of splitter i need to connect 2 amps thanx alot

yes 14guage is fine and you need distobution blocks not a splitter.

If your talking about using 14 guage for subs then I would go alittle thicker to play it safe and you will need a distrobution block.

i know i need a dist block but my friend told me i need a Y splitter or something like that to connect 2 amps

oh..... your talking about for RCA outputs from the HU to amp? Yeah you'll need 1 female - 2 male splitter and you'll need 2 of those i guess.

does your HU only have 1 set of pre-outs? if it does then you need the Y splitter if it has two then you dont.

yea mine only has 1 to the rear so im not sure which y splitter i need to connect 2 amps

Dude I just showed you. You will need two of those.

RCA cables are double sided females. So theres 2 females on both sides. Thats why you plug one into the male on one splitter and it becomes 2 females. Now you do the same thing with the other female, you plug it into the male and it also becomes 2 females and of course the females on the other side of the RCA cablr go into the males on the HU.
