Rear speaker help

Im a newbie to this so i just installed my amp and want to run my 2 6x9 rear speaker.How would i amp up my 2 rear speakers. Do i just disconnect the head unit wires that powers the rear speakers and connect it to the amp> Im just confused. Thanks for your help

yeah as long as your amp has power and the rca's connected then yeah, either diconnect them from the deck and run that wire to the amp or pull the current wires and run new ones (Which is what i would do). Just make sure you get your + and - wires, wired correctly (+ to + and - to -).

I have a car with 2 front speakers (120Watts each, pioneer) and my friend is giving me his 600 watt amp. What ammount of watts should the back speakers be to work well with the amp and stuff?
