So I have a 1990 Honda Civic 4 door and i was wondering if i should buy front and rear speakers for it or just front and use the money from the rears to buy a better set of components... I know that in a hatchback there is really no point in rear speakers but I was wondering if it is the same for a 4 door car?

i dont see why it would matter what vehicle.. its the same concept, u want the soundstage to be in front of you to add that realism .. id save the money and go for a better set

rear speakers will help if you carry people in back much and want them to have full range audio in the back seats.
you always have the fader to minimize them when you're alone

I don't really, so maybe just go with some components up front? I still have to find a place to make some panels for the doors, as I don't think there is enough space in those door panels!
