I bought some Infinity 652.5i 6 3/4" speakers for my 2000 civic lx sedan front doors, needless to say they wont fit. My factory location are for 6.5 speakers. I was thinking i'd just drimmel and shave the plastic away then use a sawzall to cut the metal opening 1/4" bigger? What do you guys think? Is there anything im not considering?
oh and using a dremel tool to grind the edges down fine, maybe using some kind of rubber material around the edges as not to damage the speakers, someone said if the holes to small itll rattle, if too bag ill lose air and itll sound like crap, I saw an article where someone used the lid of a gallon bucket to make a speaker mount, just looking for ideas.
