do i need a 2 channel amp to be able to use a sub that has 2 voice coils? And this is a stupid question but i wanted to verify it with u guys on here. the main reason for getting a 2 voice voil sub is so u can wire it to be 2 ohms right?

no you dont need a 2 channel amp for a dvc sub. you can go to http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp to see how to wire it. the advantage of a dvc sub is that you have different options to wire it and they are just better i think.
