What type of box did you have the Eclipse 15 ti in ? What type of box did you hear the Avalanche 15 in ?

One thing i do notice is the Avalanche being more efficiant as far as power. Avalanche 15 is dual 2 ohm while the Eclipse Ti 15 is Dual 4 ohm which means that i can wire the Avalanche 15 to 1 ohm and only wire the Eclipse TI 15 into 2 ohm.

That makes a big differance when trying to find a good amp for a good deal. I only have a CrossFire VR1000d which is 1 ohm stable 1332 rms x 1

I also own a Zapco 500m mono amp that can do 700 rms x 1 @ 2 ohm but im not sure if thats enough for the TI.

yea the zapco is enough those TIs take 750 rms...the eclipse was sealed and the avalanche was ported

and they were the 12" not the 15"s...but i only heard the avalanche for like 2-3 minutes...but i liked how the eclipse sounded more and they look cooler too

Also that zapco is a class a/b so it will put out cleaner bass too which is good. So you only heard the 12 avalanche right.

Well ive been thinking for a long time and ive decided to narrow it down to thes 2 subs.

Eclipse TI 12 or 15 ported - whichever whould work better with my zapco500M amp 700 x 1 @ 2 ohm

or

ID MAX 12 off my Zapco 500M

Thats a tough decision man.

Ill keep my Avalanche 15 with my CrossFire VR1000D and thats sealed at 2.25 cu ft.

the ID MAX will have better SQ but the Eclipse will get louder...and that eclipse sounds real good in a ported box and its real loud too...hell yea its a hard decision any of those 3 setups will be real nice though

ID MAX 12 - $329.99 plus shipping

Eclipse TI 12 - $319 plus shipping
Eclipse TI 15 - $355 plus shipping

Avalanche 15 - paid $300 for it.

Just trying to decide between ID MAX 12 and the TI 12 or 15 depending on which will suit my zapco 500m mono 700 x 1 @ 2 ohm amp better.

well that amp would work better for the TI than the IDMAX because the TI requires 750rms while the IDMAX requires 1000rms...depends if your going for more SQ or SPL..i like SPL so if i was you(and i will probably do this as well in a few months) get a 15" TI ported...will sound good and get plenty loud

actually jonathan has said that the ID MAX sounds really good with 600-1000 watts because of its efficiancy however i think im gonna go with the 15 TI as long as i can fit the box in the trunk of my camry. Do you have pictures of a 15 Ti in a ported box built to eclipse specs or whatever sounds best for spl/sq ?

Some might say that Zapco 500m mono class a/b amp that puts out 700 x 1 @ 2 ohms might not be enough for the TI 15 but im not sure cause i have really used this amp yet and its in the box brand new and ive never heard the TI 15 ported.

Im mainly looking for more SPL really with the ability to maintain some SQ so it sounds accurate.

What amps out there could i look into for a TI 15 since its dual 4 ohm. I will need a amp thats 2 ohm stable to get the most out of it. What whould be some good amps to match up with it. Again im not into competition or anything, just for a daily driver with alot of spl and good sq.

Hmm, the Ednine.1 of course, 900 watts rms at 2 ohms, or the Hifonics BX1500d amp, which is 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms, but this is also a very low quality company.

jake, wehat are you talking about, i mean, i have run some power to my eclipse, but 1500 watts rms from a true quality amp might be a little harsh. But mo, yes the amp is pretty good quality unlike there subs and i wanted one myself, they are 350 bucks shipped to your door from the company, also some morei thought about was a jbl 1200.1 and a jl 1000/1 lol, also a kicker kcx 1200.1, usually really underrated though

It's designed specifically for one sub. The DA7232 is designed to run two subs. They're designed to be a "perfect" match for their Ti's.

Which amp did you get from them. Were you happy with the product. Did the amp have the seriel # listed still. Some companies take them off so you have to watch out. Do they offer any warranty for like a year ?

ONly if you have 2 subs that are dual 4 ohm can you do that ONLY.

If you have 1 subwoofer thats dual 4 ohm it can only be wired down to 2ohm so you will need a amp that is 2 ohm stable

Thats a nice setup. Im gonna be going with 1 15 Ti ported 4.25 cu ft or so tuned to i believe 32hz off that DA7122.

How does yours sound ? Must hurt when it hits and make it hard to breath.

Yes... It's extremely loud. Loud enough that I have yet to turn it up all the way while in the car :D. And I'm deafer than sh!t. Your body can only take so much... And it sounds good too. Not the greatest, but I'm more of an SPL guy anyways...

And with that 15", I'd go more for 5cu/ft. 4 is the sweet spot for the 12", I can only assume the 15" will be better around 5cu/ft.

And tuned at 32Hz will let the sub have good extension, yet still get loud.

Also: it'll be loudest around 40Hz. :D Good luck bro, I'm off to bed, niters.
