WC Unregistered guest | I need a good mono amp that does 1000 watts RMS and a remote bass control. My budget is about $400. |

Silver Member Username: Alias747MN Post Number: 519 Registered: Apr-05 | mikechec, is the ednine.1 overrated though? I haven't anything real great about it. I haven't heard anything real bad either though. |
WC Unregistered guest | I was looking at the JBL GTO 1201.1, some of the reviews said that it had alot of current draw, and I was looking at the JL Audio e1800D, its 1000RMS @14.4V and 800RMS @12V. I only need 800RMS but I was thinking when I get an HO alternator I will get one that runs at 14.4V |
Silver Member Username: Mikechec9Chicago/atlanta Post Number: 551 Registered: May-05 | no. the nine.1 is actually underated. it will do 1200-1400watts. good, solid. old school amp. of course there is this tru prototype my friend go tin his shop today. it's a class D 1000watts. 1$/WATT. NOT EVEN OUT YET |

WC Unregistered guest | So, is the JL Audio e1800D good? |
Silver Member Username: Mikechec9Chicago/atlanta Post Number: 563 Registered: May-05 | yeah, mo. they are underated amps. |
Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 1720 Registered: Feb-05 | thanks mike, Im trying to decide between eclipse DA7122 - 1000 x 1 @ 2 ohm ED NINE.1 - 900 x 1 @ 2 ohm JL e1800 - 800 x 1 @ 2 ohm Trying to find a amp for a 15 elipse Ti which is 750 rms + |
WC Unregistered guest | The JL e1800D is what I am thinking of getting, its 800RMS @ 2 ohms 12.5V and 1000RMS @ 2 ohms 14.4V. |
Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 1722 Registered: Feb-05 | WC i think the ED NINE.1 has a edge over the JL overall. I dont think you can beat it for the price. http://edesignaudio.com/category.php?type=amps |
WC Unregistered guest | Well, 900RMS @ 2 ohms is not bad, but I'd rather pay an extra $40 for the JL. |
WC Unregistered guest | An extra $40 for the JL, or $30 less for the JBL GTO 1201.1, 1114RMS @ 2 ohms, I still dont know. |
Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 1724 Registered: Feb-05 | Go with the JL e1800. That is a good amplifier that will give you all you need. |
bigtimeaudiofan Unregistered guest | you get a long warranty with ed and they dont care who installs it. call them and ask. then call your local jl dealer. see who is more helpful. i would still get ed even if it was more expensive. |
WC Unregistered guest | How come you say I should go with the JL MO? I thought you liked the ednine? |
Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 1745 Registered: Feb-05 | I say the ED NINE.1 because of the power you get and the warranty for 3 years ! ! ! it doesnt stop there. Look at the Price $350 w free shipping ! You just cant beat that. If the JL e1800 was the same price then i whould get the JL but its not. |
WC Unregistered guest | No yea thats a good deal, amp looks nice too. So is there any other good amps that do 1000 watts RMS? |
Gold Member Username: Suleman36Maryland U.S.A. Post Number: 1752 Registered: Feb-05 | Check out the CrossFire VR1000D / Very nice amplifier. I own one and its very efficiant for a sub amp that draws 1332 watts rms. Very underated. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=165 Thats where i got mine from. Comes with a 1 year warranty. You can get more info at www.crossfirecaraudio.com |
