the lites on my kenwood KDC-Ps900 dim when i turn it up. they dim with the bass. when it gets really loud the player cuts out. even on the tuner it cuts out, so the cd isn't skipping. thanks
That's what happens when you overdrive the head unit. You could put a large power cap inline with the head unit power. What you really need is external amps.
Chris: try a bigger power wire for the HU. And run it straight to the battery. Had the same problem with my Alpine CDA-9833, needs a lot of power when you crank 'er up.
