I am trying to find a way to use RCA inputs from my iPod into my factory Bose system. It has a 6cd changer in-dash and XM radio (which I no longer use). I was wondering if the XM unit feeds into the radio unit via RCA plugs, and if so, could I simply unplug the XM inputs and plug in my iPod, using the XM input selector to select it?

There is no RCA inputs on any factory audio system, except for maybe the Kenwood MP3 in the Mazdaspeed protege. The only way to get your iPod audio through your stock factory system would be 1. Buy a cassette adapter (if it has a cassette player) or 2. Buy and FM modulator. Go to best buy and ask them about it, they'll know what to get you. Hope this helps.

Actually, there's a 3rd option, which is what I eventually arrived at. It is an adapter that replaces the XM input with an RCA feed. And it rocks!
