I installed a Jensen MP5010 head unit a few months back. Suddenly, there is no sound when a CD plays. The radio sound is fine. The CD is moving and changing tracks per the display. I checked the settings and mute button. How can I get sound from the radio and not the CD? Is the CD somehow spinning but now making contact to produce sound? I'm stumped and debating whether I should open up the unit.
If the warrenty is up then go ahead and open it up but I don't think you'll see the problem. Most likely it needs to be repaired by a professional or replaced.
