IMO no, i would chose another brand, unless money is tight, and all the other amps that could push it are WAAY to much hifonics wouldn't be my first choice

don't get me wrong hifonics makes some fine amps

Why would you buy Hifonics amp to power RE x.x.x. sub? That's like putting in 17" low profile tires on a golf cart. Okay that was an extreme example, but I hope you get the point.
Hifonics is a cheap amp, geared towards low budget minded people. It's higher than Pyramid/Sony/Pyle/Lanzar crap, but lower than MTX.
Do yourself a favour and invest in a better quality amp. You won't regret it.
Hifonics amp will push your sub, but with distortion/clipping mixed in. If you love your sub, don't do it.

Zapco,Xtant,Orion,JL,Kicker,MTX,RF,Alpine all make good amps, but to push a sub with that type of quality stick to the ones i posted first(zapco, xtant, orion,jl) i missed some big name amps... not all there today

umm for that type of a sub don't go Pre-fab, you COULD make it yourself if your pretty good at makings stuff use 3/4 MDF, try to get someone to custom make you a box(subfanatic might but he's REALLY busy nowadays), if you post again with ALL of the specs(cubic air recommendation and all) you'll get dimensions to build your box so you could do it yourself

Also as Mike recomended 3/4 MDF wood perfect. and drywall screws and make pilot holes half the size of the screw thread diameter, also countersink them. use the link i gave in my last post. what you can do is make the calculations on there and then get the wood cut to size by local timber merchant then just glue and screws at home you will save money. i built my two ported boxes for £30 wood and £5 for terminal blocks. it would of cost me £100!
