i dont think soo, i heard my first w7 like a month ago and with the right amp(1000/1 "slash" series)and it sounded SOOOO GOOD it maid my kickers sound like sh!t!
Its really Personal preference. I wouldn't really rely on what a salesman says on how a sub sounds and hits, especially when he is probably trying to make a sale. Listen to it for yourself, and maybe compare the both of them. Then you will know for sure. Just an idea. The W7 has quite a good reputation though from many people.
