The easiest way to wire your amp is to utilize an amplifier installation kit, which comes with all of the necessary wires and accessories.

Can you provide the model number of your amp to determine what size power wire should be used?

Most likely you will need a 4AWG kit like the one found here: http://knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL-AK44
However, you may be able to use a kit with smaller gauge wiring such as the one found here: http://knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOLAK84
The optimal kit can be decided based on your amp's specs.

I suggest you start with http://www.bcae1.com/ to learn more about amp installation.
Another site worth mentioning is http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/learningcenter/car/amplifier_ins tallation_guide.html
This site provides a less technical look at amp installation than the previous.

Good luck. Ask more specific questions when they come about.

wow thats the most help ive ever got on here thanks alot, alright i am actually planning on installing 2 amps and a new sub, the amps are an orion 4004 that is 100watts rms at 2ohm, that will be for my 4 infinity speakers, and then i want to install the orion 600D mono block class-D amp, which is 600watts rms at 1ohm, for an alpine type-R sub which is 500watts rms... that might seem like alot but i need to know what i need as far as wires, if i will need a better altenator, or a capacitator... i already have an audioban a8002t amp for 2 subs but i am upgrading so will those wires work or will i need something else?

In order to find out whether you will need an alternator, it is necessary to know the rating of your stock alternator (i.e 60A, 70A, etc). Then you must add up the fuse rating of the amps you will be using to see if your stock alternator will be able to handle the load.

You may be able to make use of the wiring you used with the Audiobahn, but I cannot be sure because I don't know what gauge it is or how badly it has been mangled from a previous installation.

Since you will be installing two amps, it will be easiest to use a distribution block so that only one power wire will need to run from the battery to the location of the amps.
Take a look at the following link to see what it looks like: http://knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=BC-1428
The block should be placed near the amps so that a shorter, and usually smaller gauge power wire can extend to each amp. Your best bet is probably to buy 2 amp kits and a distribution block. This should provide every wire you will need to do the job. You will need to find out what gauge wire each amp accepts to decide the wire gauge. The main power wire running to the distribution block is many times a larger gauge than ones running to the amps. For example, A 4AWG wire runs to a distribution block where it is split into two 8AWG wires. But this does not have to be the case. Many systems use 0AWG throughout.

You may be able to get away with a 4AWG main power wire and 8AWG into the amps. But, I am not familiar with your amps and not enough information is available on Orion's website. Hopefully someone more knowledgable than I will chime in.
