I would not bother until I could afford the amp to power them. HU power and real amp power is completely different from my experience. The HU will not give the same quality of power and will not be able to keep up with the speaker. It may sound okay at lower levels, but will sound like crap when you crank it up even a little bit. Save your money and do it the right way once. Plus it will save you time later on when you want to upgrade. Hope this helps.
