Sony Deck MP3 Disc "pop".....

I just installed a Sony CDX-M9905X in place of an older Sony, utilizing the existing wiring harness. On MP3 encoded discs, there is an audible "pop" when tracks switch. Could this be a grounding issue, or something else?
